Signals. 1,592 green, 756 amber, 172 red. A signal is not a second reading: red is exactly the 292 units held for a person, amber is exactly the 595 cleared with evidence posted, and green is the 1,337 still moving plus the 296 cleared inside the envelope. Counting both would count the same units twice.

The watch counters reset when you reset them. They count dots that finished on screen since the board started, not units that closed in the business. The standing counts - 1,337 in flight, 292 held - are the recorded ones, and those are the numbers to quote.
A line here is a function, and every line is drawn the same way because every function is held in the same shape. Adding a fifteenth function would add a fifteenth line without anyone writing one. That is the point of the shape, and it is also the limit of this board: it can only show what the shape holds.
